How to climb Ranked in RealTT
In RealTT Ranked you climb from Iron to Challenger by earning LP. A win gives about 15 to 25 LP, and 100 LP moves you up a division; in division I, 100 LP starts a promotion series where you must win 2 of 3. To climb faster, win consistently, never quit matches and cut down your errors per game.

Ranked is RealTT's competitive mode: live matches against real players, from Iron to Challenger, in a season that resets every 6 weeks. Climbing comes down to two things: understanding how league points (LP) work, and playing better than your current tier.
This guide explains the Ranked rules straight from the game and collects practical tips to win more online ping pong matches.
How Ranked works
You will find Ranked in the Compete tab, under Ranked. When you tap Find match, the game checks your connection and puts you in the queue. When MATCH FOUND appears, both players have to accept. Declining takes you out of the queue.
- Format: best of 3 games to 11 points.
- Game mode: Advanced only, at full speed. If you are in another mode, the game asks you to switch.
- Opponents: the queue looks for someone near your level and with a good connection.
- Cost: Ranked uses no energy and has no ads.

Tiers, divisions and LP
There are 10 tiers. From Iron to Diamond, each tier has 4 divisions, from IV (the lowest) to I. Master, Grandmaster and Challenger have no divisions.
These are the rules for going up and down:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You reach 100 LP | You move up to the next division |
| You reach 100 LP in division I | A promotion series starts: win 2 of 3 to reach the next tier |
| You lose the promotion series | You drop back to 70 LP, same division |
| You fall below 0 LP | You drop one division and restart at 75 LP |
| You are in Iron IV at 0 LP | You cannot drop any further |
The 5 placement games
At the start of every season you play 5 placement games. They give no LP, but they weigh more in your rating than normal games. After them, the game places you in a tier based on how you played. Placement can put you as high as Diamond; above that, you have to climb.
So it pays to be warmed up before those 5 games. Play some Training or Rally practice first.
How much LP you get per win
Besides the LP you see, the game keeps a hidden rating of your level. It goes up when you win and down when you lose, and it goes up more when you beat someone stronger.
That rating sets your gains: a win gives about 15 to 25 LP, and a loss takes about 14 to 22. If your real level is above your current tier, you gain more and lose less, and you climb fast. If it is below, the opposite happens. In practice, the best way to climb is simply to win consistently: the game notices and speeds up your climb.
Tips to climb faster
- Master your timing. A PERFECT shot has more quality and suffers less from your opponent's spin. Learn the timing window in RealTT physics.
- Miss less before you hit harder. On the Ranked screen, the Performance section shows Perfect, Winners/game, Errors/game and average km/h for your recent matches. If your errors are high, control first, then speed up.
- Attack high balls, be patient on low ones. A low ball hit too hard goes off the table. Wait for the one that sits up.
- Mix up your serve. Alternate backspin and topspin, short and long. An opponent who cannot read the spin pops the ball up. See more tips to win more points.
- Move early. Position counts toward a PERFECT. Recover to the center after every shot.
- Build your racket for your game. Gear counts in the match. Win rubbers and blades in Story mode and see how to build your racket.
- Play on a good connection. Wi-Fi or a better signal keeps the ball from arriving late.
- Never quit. Leaving mid-match counts as a loss and costs LP. Three quits within 24 hours lock the Ranked queue for a while.
Seasons and rewards
Each season lasts 6 weeks. When a new one starts, your hidden rating moves halfway back toward the average, you play 5 new placement games, and your peak from the last season is saved under Past seasons.

At the end of the season you get Bolas de Ouro (Gold Balls, one of the game's two currencies) for the highest tier you reached in it, from Platinum up:
| Season peak | Bolas de Ouro |
|---|---|
| Platinum | 30 |
| Emerald | 60 |
| Diamond | 100 |
| Master | 200 |
| Grandmaster | 300 |
| Challenger | 500 |
Finishing in the Top Brazil leaderboard adds an extra for 1st place, the top 10 and the top 100. During the season, each new division you reach for the first time gives 10 more Bolas de Ouro, and every ranked match gives coins, more for a win. The details are in the ranked and seasons help page.
