Titles of Shunsuke Togami

Doubles world champion

In May 2025 in Doha, Togami and Hiroto Shinozuka were the No. 2 seeds and won the men's doubles title at the World Championships. It was Japan's first title in the event since 1961. In the final the pair beat Taiwan's Lin Yun-Ju and Kao Cheng-jui.

WTT singles titles

In September 2025 Togami won WTT Contender Almaty, beating China's Zhou Qihao 4-2. It was his first WTT title, in his third final. In 2026 he won in Almaty again, this time against France's Simon Gauzy 4-0, and took WTT Star Contender Ljubljana, beating Brazil's Hugo Calderano 4-3 in the final. In Ljubljana he also won the doubles, again alongside Shinozuka. See the table tennis world ranking and table tennis in Japan.

Playing style

Togami is a right-handed shakehand attacker. What counts most in his game:

• Offensive shakehand game, with high tempo and initiative in the first balls. See grips.
• Solid doubles partnership, with titles alongside the left-handed Shinozuka, a combination that works well at the table.
• Results against the best, such as the win over Calderano in the Ljubljana final. More on playing styles.
