Who is Shin Yubin
Shin Yubin was born on 5 July 2004 in Suwon, South Korea. Her father ran a table tennis club and she started playing around four or five. She is right-handed, plays shakehand and is 1.69 m tall. She joined the national team at 14 and went to the Tokyo Olympics at 17. Her best singles ranking is No. 7, in March 2024; on 26 October 2026 she is 12th.

Paris 2024: two bronzes

Two medals at the 2025 Worlds
At the Doha 2025 Worlds she took bronze in mixed doubles (with Lim Jonghoon) and women's doubles (with Ryu Hanna), the first Korean woman in 32 years with more than one medal at the same Worlds. In 2025 she and Lim also won the WTT Finals mixed doubles, and in June 2026 they won Star Contender Ljubljana, beating Qiu Dang and Sabine Winter 3-1. In 2026 the pair reached No. 1 in the mixed doubles ranking.
